The Coast Water Works Development Agency (CWWDA) is a state corporation created under the Ministry of Water and Sanitation pursuant to the Water Act of 2016. The Coast Water Works Development Agency transited from the Coast Water Services Board (CWSB) on 3rd May 2019 through a gazette Notice No.28 of 26th April 2019. The former Coast Water Services Board was established through a Gazette Notice No. 1328 of 26th February 2004.
Tana Water Works Development Agency (TWWDA) was established through a Legal Notice No.28 of 26th April, 2019 in line with the Water Act 2016. TWWDA is one of the Nine (9) Water Works Development Agencies.Under the Water Act, 2016 Tana Water Services Board (TWSB) transited into Tana Water Works Development Agency.
Lake Victoria South Water Works Development Agency (LVSWWDA) is one of the eight Water Works Development Agencies, established under Section 65 of the Water Act 2016. The Agency is currently under the Ministry of Water, Sanitation and Irrigation. It covers 8 counties of Bomet, Homa Bay, Kericho, Kisii, Kisumu, Migori, Nyamira and Siaya.
Lake Victoria North Water Works Development Agency (LVNWWDA) is one of the nine Water Works Development Agencies established under the Water Act 2016, Legal Notice No. 28 of 26th April, 2019 amended with variations and modifications made through Legal Notice No. 5 of 4th February, 2020, as part of the reforms which sought to improve governance and service provision in the Water Sector. It serves six counties of Kenya Namely Kakamega, Bungoma, Vihiga, Busia, Tranzoia and Nandi.
The Central Rift Valley Water Works Development Agency (CRVWWDA) is one of the nine (9) Water Works Development Agencies in Kenya and was formed under Section 65 of the Water Act, 2016. The region served by the Agency comprise of the five Counties of Nakuru, Narok, Laikipia, Baringo and Nyandarua.
Northern Water Works Development Agency (NWWDA) is one of nine (9) Water Works Development Agencies established under the Ministry of Water, Sanitation & Irrigation. Established under the Water Act 2016 vide Legal Notice No. 28 of 26th April 2019, the Agency is responsible for the development, maintenance and management of water and sewerage infrastructure within its area of jurisdiction which covers 6 counties namely; Garissa, wajir, Mandera, Isiolo, Marsabit and Samburu.
